CANCER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Almost daily, there is a family, individual, or agency that contacts United Way to see if we can help with expenses for someone with cancer so they can get to treatment or other financial issues that have arisen.

We have found a need and have come together in a collaborative effort to create an opportunity. Local people in our community formed the LIVE.LOVE.LOCAL Cancer Assistance Program to emotionally and financially support local families battling cancer. United Way is administering the fund to assist with travel expenses and some medical supplies.

To date, we have been able to help dozens of individuals. Our ability to serve is limited to the funds in the LIVE.LOVE.LOCAL account.
