We're rethinking what it means to volunteer. It doesn't have to be an all-day event, and it doesn't have to involve dozens of people (although we love big, organized volunteer events). Instead, volunteering can involve small kindnesses throughout your day. When looking out for each other becomes a habit, Eastern Utah gets a little brighter.
Like being around kids? Mentor a child for an hour a week. Love animals? Help clean cages at the animal shelter. Call a senior center to see what their needs are. Offer your social media skills to a local non-profit. Shovel snow or rake leaves for a neighbor. Read to folks in an assisted living facility.
Find a way -- big or small -- to help someone today; every little bit adds up, and we all have something to offer.
